This is because contacts exported from Outlook, iCloud, and Android will always be done in their unique formats, which means you will never have just one single contact but several VCF files that cannot connect. This makes the process difficult and stressful.
A basic manual method is:
- Import all VCF files into Google Contacts or Outlook
- Let the system combine them automatically
- Then export everything again as a single VCF file
This works fine but there are a few issues. Sometimes duplicates show up, and a few contact fields like notes, labels, or secondary numbers may not merge properly. Also, if the files are large, importing can take time or even fail halfway.
Another option some people use is
Softaken Merge vCard Pro, where you simply load multiple VCF files and merge them into one file without doing repeated imports and exports. It's mostly used when there are many files from different sources and manual handling becomes messy.
Before doing anything, it's always better to keep original VCF backups so nothing important gets lost during merging.
