hi terry
thanks for response.
i run program in xp.then i go to bcd deployment tab
then i select install windows xp boot loader to the mbr then i select write mbr
i restart pc then i see windows8 option in boot menu.so that worked or not?
and if its worked its safe to format drive d?
also in program in edit boot menu tab i should remove windows 8 entry?

There are a total of 2 entries listed in the bootloader.

Default: Earlier Version of Windows
Timeout: 30 seconds
Boot Drive: C:\

Entry #1
Name: Earlier Version of Windows
BCD ID: {ntldr}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \ntldr

Entry #2
Name: Windows 8
BCD ID: {66f98aa9-4595-11e2-bea0-bf767fc663b1}
Drive: D:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

If C and D are different HDDs, then just change the BIOS to boot from the XP drive.
If you are seeing the W8 boot menu, then that's what's booting, not XP
When you boot W8 and run Disk Management, what's flagged as "system" ?

Disk Management flags have the following meanings
"boot" = "this is the system you're running"
"system" = "this is where I found the boot files for the currently running system"
"active" (on the first HDD in the BIOS boot sequence) = "this is where I started the search for the boot files"
"active" (on subsequent HDDs in the BIOS boot sequence) ="this is where I will look if I don't find something in the MBR on the first HDD"

hello,
i installed both in one hard disk on diffrent local disk
in WIN8 in Disk Management i see
boot, page file, crash dump, logical drive
see attachment

Why did you use logical drives ?
There's only one point of using logical drives and that's if you need to allocate more than 4 partitions.
A logical drive cannot contain boot files so you are stuck with leaving the boot files in the only primary partition.
If that primary partition is XP, then the "install XP bootloader" should have returned you to an XP only boot.
There is some confusion between your OP and your attachment about about which partition is which.
Disk letters are not "real". They only exist as registry entries in the running OS, and each OS disk-letter map is unique and independent of all others. It's not a good idea to ignore the "real" physical label facility of Windows. (right click each drive in Explorer and give the partition a name e.g. XP System, W8 System, User Data etc so that you and others know what's what.)
That physical label will be visible to any OS and will never change. The disk letter is different depending on which OS you've booted.
Please make it absolutely clear which OS is in which partition and which one you want to get rid of.

the screenshot taked in win8.win8 setup show drive D in xp as drive C in win8 setup and after win8 installation You see drive D(In xp) as drive C (In win8)
in WINXP show like this
Local Disk C 26.01 GB WINXP OS
Local Disk D 25.00 GB WIN8 OS
Local Disk E 23.37 GB

then in WIN8 show like this
Local Disk D 26.01 GB WINXP OS
Local Disk C 25.00 GB WIN8 OS
Local Disk E 23.37 GB
So if i am running in winxp i want get rid of WIN8 OS (Local Disk D 25.00 GB)
and if i am running in win8 i want get rid of WIN8 OS (Local Disk C 25.00 GB)

You have two choices.
Use BCD Deployment > Install XP bootloader > Write MBR
will return to an XP only system booted via NTLDR/boot.ini

Edit Boot menu > Delete the W8 entry
will return to an XP only system booted via the W8 bootmgr chaining to NTLDR/boot.ini

In either case you can format the 25Gb logical drive because it contains nothing which affects the boot.
