How to "merge" WinXP and Win7 computers into a dual-boot machine?

Hi all,

I've got an old computer with WinXP (32b) installed, and a new(er) one with Win7 (64b).
I'd love to move HDD's from the old computer into the new one, and to create an XP-7 dual-boot. (I really need to keep the old system up due to some legacy software on it).

Can anyone, please, point me to a tutorial on the EasyBCD wiki that applies to my situation, or give advice on what to do above the tutorials? I'm not really sure which one is relevant to me.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You still can *sometimes* by doing the repair install for XP after moving it to the new PC. That sometimes being you're not trying to move from x64 to x86 and that you're not trying to move from single core to multi core.
