A PST file contains a collection of old emails and attachments that need to be reviewed, but there is no requirement to connect an Outlook account. The archive is being used as historical data, so creating a new Outlook profile or linking an active mailbox seems unnecessary. The main requirement is simply to open the PST, browse its folders, and read selected messages when needed. This situation can occur after changing email providers, replacing a computer, or keeping an old Outlook archive for backup purposes.
