how to setup easybcd on windows xp

not vista or w7, just xp and linux

after install easybcd and try to run it, I get the following error:
The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The system cannot find the file specified.
BCD registry for EasyBCD

I did a search and found this:

I copy over the vista windows\boot directory. But it is still the same error. I do not see the option about repair vista boot loader in the notes.

Please can you all help me with this?

EasyBCD is only useful if you have a copy of Windows Vista or Windows 7 on your machine.

EasyBCD looks in the active partition for \boot\BCD.
If that's not where you copied it, tell EasyBCD where you did put it when it asks if you want to specify the location manually.
