installation problem

I try to install windows vista ultimate on my HP 530 but i have problem...
i boot up from the cd , it loads the windows install files... after that i see the blue bar running for about 6 seconds and i see

the windows vista install background... i noticed that my hard drive activity led is always on(red) but the install will not go

on.. it is just stuck at the start i can even get to the windows with the product key...

Please help...

How long did you leave it this way? Did you leave it for like 5 minutes to see if it will take? Or jsut reset it after a minute or 2?

you need to wait some time for windows to configure the install files. it took me 15 miutes to get the windows installer started to install windows on my system. makaveli is right

Dont get me wrong. On that type of system it should take 15 minutes for the installer to run. But it might take it more than a couple of minutes. Without knowing how long the OP waited we can not answer if there truly is a issue or not.
