Installing BCD with existing OS dual-boot

I have XP and Win7 installed on separate partitions of one physical drive (XP first, Win7 second). At boot, Win7 provides its native OS selection screen, which works perfectly. I'm curious to try EasyBCD -- not sure why, but that's my nature -- but I'm not sure if I should, or would need to, install it from within XP or Win7 for best results? Thank you!

Hi TZA, welcome to NST.
EasyBCD will run on either system (provided XP has NET 2.0 framework pre-installed).
If you have a working dual-boot, you don't need Easy of course, but you can use it for some optional tidying, like changing the names of the systems you see in the boot menu or altering the timeout.
