Internet Explorer 11 destroys registry and system restore points in windows 7!

Its crazy but true! I have installed win7 two times today and Im not in the mood for a third.
I wanted to upgrade internet explorer 8 to 11 and after the restart it asks, the windows cant boot.

System repair can not correct anything and it just says the registry is corrupted.
The most annoying is that system restore points are destroyed even if I have chosen a large space to store. No restore points found!!!

its simply ridiculous!

If this is about a NeoSmart product then all support is via EasyRE@neosmart.net and the same address is for seeking a refund on a product that isn't doing what it's supposed to do in your system.

I've been using IE11.0.9600.19572 on W7 for many many years without a problem.
It's not my daily browser, just a stripped back bare-bones version with additional bank-supplied Trusteer security software, I use purely for internet banking and nothing else.
It's so long ago I can't really remember, but afaik it was just updated to that level by a succession of Windows Updates.
How are you "upgrading" it ?
