Hi
I Have Vista installed and then I installed XP, used easbcd with no problems...
I then resized the XP partition, and it fault to boot XP telling me the hal.dll was missing or corrupt. I replaced and not difference.
then when back into Vista to take a look at the setting and got
"Microsoft .NET Framework"
the program will run, but i can't use anything or exits...
Have now reinstalled XP and both will boot using the boot menu on the Vista DVD.
Have also updated .NET to ver 3.5 on vista same error

Any ideas please?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Are you getting the .NET error on Vista? You have to install .NET on XP for EasyBCD to install.

Hi Justicets, welcome to NST.

Please delete the folder "C:\Users\Justice\AppData\Local\NeoSmart_Technologies" and try again. It sounds like an unsafe shutdown or something corrupted the configuration files.

This happened to me in one fresh install of XP home edition 2002, but not in a fresh install of XP Pro.

Solution; install SP3 and the dotnetfix.
