Moving Boot Files

I recently installed a new hard drive with a clean install of Windows 7. However, I had an old copy on another drive. When I tried deleted the old partitions that kept the old OS, it kept the boot files on the old drive so that basically I have a very small partition with just boot files on it. The new install has a system reserve partition that also has boot files.

I tried to use EasyBCD to Change the Boot drive to the system reserved one, but that didn't seem to fix anything as the old drive was still labeled System and Active afterward (which meant I couldn't format or delete it). I next tried to mark the old drive as inactive, then Change the Boot Drive. The next time I started up Windows, I was forced to boot from the cd and repair things so that it went back to booting from the old drive.

How can I move these files so that I can have all the system and boot files on one drive and boot properly?

Hey, EasyBCD even says "please change the BIOS boot order now" - doesn't it?

Anyway, glad you got it working.
