Mozilla abandons development of Metro Firefox for Windows 8

I'm somehow not surprised.

People don't seem to like the new Firefox either. It looks like Mozilla has a lot to work out if they still want to be forerunners in what they do. I guess knowing their audience is the first thing.

The first thing I did with FF29 is download the Classic Theme Restorer add-on which gave me the old look & functionality back. It's almost like Mozilla wants to drive people to their rival, Chrome, because that's what it looks like to me.

As more and more people return to using the desktop in 8/8.1 I'm not surprised at software developers ignoring Metro, which in my mind is fine for a tablet or phone, but not for a PC. I hardly ever use Metro myself.
