No bootable device - help please!

Hi I'm sorry if begging or asking is a problem, but I need help with something. My eMachines D520 laptop will not boot up. Here is what the message says:

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

For Realtek RTL8111B/8111C Gigabit Ethernet Controller v2.15 (080320)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key.

If anyone has a solution for this I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Check your BIOS setting.
You appear to be trying to boot from the ethernet before your HDD.

Terry, while that's possible, most times I've seen this it actually is trying to boot from the ethernet because it failed to boot from the CD and HD both.

In that case, check whether the BIOS says there is a HDD.
(Eject and reinsert the HDD several times to clean the contacts if not)

My boot priority order is:
1. USB CDROM
2. USB HDD
3. Network Boot : Realtek Boot Agent
4. USB FDD
5. IDE1 : Optiarc DVD RW AD-7560S
6. IDE0 : Hitachi HTS542516K9SA00

I do not have any cds for this laptop. I don't believe a cd even came with it.
