NTDETECT Failed

hi, I have read most of the topics on the forum and tried most of suggestion , but nothing new I have Vista on my PC , but decide to put XP too

mY Drives:
C: Vista System Partition
D: .......
E: ..........
F: XP System Partition


EasyBCD version is1.7.1

and Only msg that I get when I try to start XP is "NTDETECT failed" - nothing more.Then I just hit enterand it's getting back to choosing screen. Can you help me plz

Hi Nightwalker, welcome to the boards,
Have you looked at the wiki XP troubleshooter

It appears that you have not got your boot files in the right place.
Check here for background on the boot process

The essential part is that your boot files for XP must be on the boot partition, which is not necessarily the XP partition.
