NTLDR Error

Hi all, I'm new here and I'd like a bit of help if possible. i recently purchased a new dell inspiron 6400 that came with windows vista home basic pre-installed. However, cause i'm familiar with XP and most of my programs don't run on Vista, I'd tried to dual boot XP and Vista on one HDD. I used VistaBootPro after installing XP but afterwards i could not boot into windows XP. Got an NTLDR missing Error. No idea how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Delions,

First things first: VistaBootPRO doesn't work very well, the real code hasn't been changed since the Vista beta, and the bootloader has changed a lot since then. Install EasyBCD, and use it to remove the existing XP entry.

Now that you have _only_ the Vista entry showing in EasyBCD, go to the Add/Remove Entries -> Windows -> Windows XP section and add an entry.

Test it and see if it works. If not, there's a small change we need to make, so post back and I'll walk you through it
