Tested on a triple boot Windows 7 / Windows XP / Windows Vista:

EasyBCD 2.1 opens in 7 seconds
EasyBCD 2.1.2 and 2.2 Beta open in 26 seconds - a considerably longer wait.

Would appreciate it if someone would measure and compare how fast v2.1 starts up vs. v2.1.2 vs. v2.2 Beta on their system.

This is a known issue, and EasyBCD isn't really the cause.

You most almost certainly have an external drive attached that sleeps when not in use. Newer EasyBCD versions query removable devices, so it has to wait for your drive to spin up.

OK, that makes sense.

Can there be an option to disable this feature and prevent this problem from happening in the future since this can only be a source of headaches for people who do not have OS on removable drives and therefore would like to have this off in options until (if ever) they need it.
