Hi All,
I am a new member to this forum. I need help from other memebers. I am expecting this and thanx to every one in advance.

The following is the descrption of my problem:

Recently I have bought a note book PC from HP. It has come with pre-installed Vista. Now some applications are not running in Vista. So I want to swith to Windows XP, which I already have. When I have contacted HP they are saying that I can downgrade to XP but some components/ Applications may not work properly. I want to have both the Operaing systems on my machine. Can anybody help me in this regard.

Thanx in advance,
Murthy KVR.

Hi Murthy, welcome to NeoSmart Technologies

You sure can - but you'll need to buy yourself a copy of Windows XP first. The recovery disk that they'll send you won't work.

Once you have your copy of Windows XP, you can create a new partition (use Paragon (free) or Disk Director (paid, but better)) on your drive and install Windows XP to it.

Once in Windows XP, install the .NET Framework 2.0 then install EasyBCD.
Use EasyBCD | Add/Remove Entries | Windows XP
EasyBCD | Bootloader Management | Reinstall Vista Bootloader

Should do the trick.
