Hey all,

I had a working dual boot option before (XP and VISTA), but recently I had to reinstall vista, and since then I can't get it working again.

I've tried using these settings:

There are a total of 2 entries listed in the Vista Bootloader.
Bootloader Timeout: 30 seconds.
Default OS: Microsoft Windows Vista
Entry #1
Name: Microsoft Windows Vista
BCD ID: {current}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Windows Directory: \Windows

Entry #2
Name: Microsoft Windows XP
BCD ID: {e6ea7dc0-8d39-11dc-9179-000129d6aed1}
Drive: F:\
Bootloader Path: \NTLDR

but when I select XP in the boot manager I get an error message that \NTLDR is missing.
when in vista, XP is installed on F and vista on C. I don't remeber how is it on XP.

Is there something I can do?
thanks a lot..

Terry is right about where to start. More specifically check this page:

Troubleshooting Windows XP - NeoSmart Technologies Wiki

That will give you the answers to the most common setup problems encountered. I would wager to guess that you are missing the NTLDR, NTDETECT and boot.ini files from your boot drive which i would say is your Vista drive. So copy them over from the XP drive and see if it works. :grinning:

Good Luck!
