Problem loading Ubuntu on two boot/two HD boot configuration, Windows7 on first HD

Hi,

first, thanks for all the work with easyBCD.

I have an HP DV9000 with dual drive bays. Came with two 120 gig hard drive.

I want to install Windows 7 pro 64 bits on the first HardDrive (100% of space)
and Ubuntu Desktop 9.04 64 bits on the second hard drive. (100% of space with root / ext3 and swap).

I do NOT have the BIOS option to select which HD to boot from (Bios F.2D). So I need easyBCD to boot linux (thanks to you!)

I have readed the Linux/Ubuntu doc here : Ubuntu - NeoSmart Technologies Wiki

a) I have already installed Windows 7 64 bits on the first HD.

b) I have already installed EasyBCD 1.7.2 in Windows 7

c) I have already burn the CD and installed Ubuntu Desktop 9.04 64 bits on the second hard drive.

d) In the Ubuntu installation, I choosed the @take the all disk option@ on sdb (make 100% of the second disk with /ext3 and swap partition) , and after with the Advance button, I choosed @install boot loader@, on the second disk, ext3 /. (sdb)

e) I have tried to configure easyBCD correcly.

But, when I try to boot Linux, I got error. EasyBCD seem to not find Grub in sdb. :frowning:

Any help would be very appreciated, I alreay tried since few hours to fix that by myself ...
:scared:

Hi Hugo, welcome to NST.
Stop using EasyBCD 1.7.
It contains no support for any Ubuntu release later than 8.04.
Get EasyBCD 2.0 latest build
Delete the Ubuntu entry, then add it again. Tick the "grub isn't......." box.
