Remove boot folder

Hi
I had XP on C: drive and W7 on D: dirve. I removed W7 drive and need to reinstall XP in order to change the motherboard. I see there is a boot folder on C: and file /boot/bcd controls boot. How can I return everything to a normal XP Boot?
