Show label of partition

Otomatic

Hi,
EasyBCD, In View settings - detailed I would like to get the label of the partition, if it exists, in addition to device= and osdevice=.
Same for Add a new entry in addition to the partition letter.

Would this be possible?

Thank you.

In the BCD, partitions are identified only by the hash of unique device serial and drive offset which is mapped in the registry at HKLM/SYSTEM/MountedDevices.

EasyBCD translates that user-unfriendly UID into a Disk letter for you using that same registry map.

When you talk to EasyBCD and point it to a Disk Letter, it does a reverse translation and stores only the UID hash in the BCD

Neither the BCD nor the registry map includes any other information about the drive.

You can request the facility in the "Ideas and Wishlists" forum if you like, but don't hold your breath while you wait.
I imagine a whole load of extra code to locate and map what you want would be necessary, but only the author would be able to say and no new version of EasyBCD has emerged since a few years back, and then only in response to a Linux architecture change which broke a major function of the program.
