I'm trying to recover my father in laws compaq CQ-50 laptop he constantly gets viruses on and I've got the recovery disk purchased from neosmart. It boots to the disk and comes up easy recovery application however it goes through all these steps but seems to get stuck on starting installation of BOOTMGR FOREVER!! I've recovered computers before using disks and never had this problem. I've got it connected to a LAN line directly to the router also. The reason I mention that is because when I use the recover disk and try to go to internet browser it says no internet connection but I'm not sure where internet settings might be. This computer has never been connected to my home internet before and it won't boot up at all so I couldn't configure the internet before starting recovery. Any help is appreciated.
