Startup Repair Issue vor Windows Vista 64-bit Edition

Hello,

After burning a CD with the Windows Vista 64-bit Repair to help solve my corrupted WINLOAD.EXE file, I booted my PC with the CD and then choose "Attempt Automated Repair ..." The "Startup Repair is checking your system for problems ..." window launched and the status bar in the "Attempting repairs ..." box is moving from left to right with the message "Repairing disk sectors - This might take over an hour to complete." It has been doing this for over 4 hours now - should it take this long? If no, do I try to cancel and start again? If yes, I did try to cancel once but it told me "The current repair operation cannot be cancelled." Any ideas? Thanks.
