The selected partition cannot be recovered with this repair CD Windows 7

I have just purchased the Windows 7 Recovery Disc and tried to use it to repair my PC which runs Windows 7 64 Bit.

When I choose the Windows 7 drive and choose “Automated Repair” I get the message -> The selected partition cannot be recovered with this repair CD. You must use EasyRE for Windows 7 instead. Please select a different drive to continue.

Also get the same message when I try to do a System Restore.

Any ideas why it isn’t working?

Sounds like it's trying to repair the wrong OS perhaps but that's only a guess. Unless someone who has used it and had the exact experience and posts here I suggest you follow this sticky in the Windows Recovery CD's section: Windows Recovery CDs - all help for those is by email as per Send EasyRE support requests to [email]EasyRE@NeoSmart.net[/email] .
If the worst comes to the worst you can ask for a refund.
