Toshiba laptop doesn't recognize Windows 7 recovery disk

I downloaded and burned the 32 bit recovery disk to a CD yesterday. I used it on my MSI laptop first to make sure it was legit and then tried to use it on someone else's Toshiba M305 laptop, but their laptop won't even recognize the disk. Do I need to burn it again to a DVD for the Toshiba?
 
Is their laptop x64 ?
If so you'll need the other download.
Alternatively, they might not have their BIOS set to boot from CD before HDD.
