Trouble erasing Beta 7601 from Windows 7 computer.

I have a great problem and hope you will be able to assist me. I had the beta on my computer and then purchased the final version Windows 7 Home
Premium. At present the beta is causing frequent shutdowns since I have a note that says it should be deleted. All attempts have proven unsuccessful . I did a full backup (not image) and reinstalled Win 7, but the beta remains active.

Any help will be appreciated. I am afraid that shortly I shall have a dead machine.
