Ubuntu and EASYBCD

Quick question as just been introduced to ubuntu...

Can i use ubuntu (in no changes mode) to install easybcd to my failed win7 drive to fix boot stuff?

i am using at present to back up files so they ae not lost should thing go bad but thought i would ask the question..

You could, but you won't be able to use it until you boot into Windows.

There's an idea to make a bootable EasyBCD CD, but nothing has come of that yet.

its a great idea and no doubt would help many in this position.

When you're happy that your personal files are safe, you can use your W7 DVD, or our ISO download of the W7 repair disk, to fix your boot like this

I wish it were that simple - my files are safe (i think ) but this thread shows what problems i have had.....been a nightmare to say the least.
