Ubuntu without GRUB

Hello all,

I've tried the tutorial on the website several times about how to install Ubuntu without GRUB and have it modify the main MBR, but I get a GRUB install error every time. Is the tutorial broken? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi Planets, welcome to NST.

There is a bug in the Ubuntu setup procedure, but I didn't know it extended to the MBR-installations of GRUB as well.
I filed a bug report about the issue at the Ubuntu dev site:
Bug #181276 in Ubuntu: “grub-install failing in Ubuntu setup”

At any rate, you can still get a dual-boot going by using NeoGrub to boot into Ubuntu.
