Unable to delete XP Pro Setup on Boot Launch

I recently moved from XP to Windows 7. When the Boot System launches, it give me the option of selecting Windows 7 or Microsoft XP Pro Setup, but defaults to XP Pro Setup unless I tell it otherwise. EasyBCD Edit Legacy Entries tells me the following:
;
;Warning: Boot.ini is used on Windows XP and earlier operating systems.
;Warning: Use BCDEDIT.exe to modify Windows Vista boot options.
;
[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=c:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT
[operating systems]
c:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows XP Professional Setup"

However, I have deleted the \$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT file, but the Boot System launch still wants to default to XP Pro Setup. Any ideas???

Thanks.

Thanks Terry. I have already set Windows 7 as default in EasyBCD and deleted XP Pro as an option in BCD. Computer still defaults to XP Pro on boot. Any other ideas to try?

What exactly happens ?
You delete XP from the BCD, but it still appears as a boot menu option ?
If so, you are probably not looking at the proper "live" BCD.
Check EasyBCD > Tools > Options and check that you are not forcing a load of some inactive/backup BCD.
EasyBCD > File > Load System BCD should fix that
If that's not the case, please give specific details and include a screenshot of Disk Management and copy/paste the contents of EasyBCD "view settings" (detailed mode).
