Hello I am running Vista Ultimate with .net installed 2.0 and with the latest BCD 1.72 and I keep getting this error

Look in the NST folder found on the Vista primary there and see if the menu.lst file is found. If not you will probably end up needing to remove and then reinstall 1.7.2 fresh to see the installation file present.

The errror is all too familiar with another tool if you look at post #444 in the thread seen at [Download] Vista Hide 'n Seek BETA - Page 30 - The NeoSmart Forums

The file itself is generated when seeing NeoGrub installed. Are you trying a dual boot with ubuntu or any other Linux distro?
 
I figured out what happened here when seeing that type of error come up. When first testing the HnS tool discussed on the other thread there I installed NeoGrub right into the Vista mbr then seeing a menu/lst file created at the root of the primary while EasyBCD's version of that sees it in the NST folder. If that is not present that would be the cause for the error you are seeing there.

The thing to do now is look in "C:\NST" to see if the menu.lst is missing there. Without that present you will run right into this error. But unless you are planning to add a linux distro into the mix you won't install NeoGrub but use the Mac tab for seeing the Mac entry added into the BCD instead.

Here I am triple booting with ubuntu being Linux and requiring NeoGrub for seeing that added in while Mac is a different OS entirely.
 
PC_eye, Locust's problem has nothing to do with menu.lst or HnS.

locust - it looks like your Tahoma font is corrupt. Did you replace it by another font by any chance? (I know a while back it was all the rage to replace Tahoma with Segoe UI)
 
You can't really "delete" Tahoma since it is a system font.

Get a copy of Tahoma from another PC, boot into safe mode, and try replacing it from there.
