I have my desktop computer set up as a dual-boot system: Windows XP and Windows 7. I occasionally have need to control this system remotely, so I need to be able to change the default boot setting from either operating system before rebooting. I learned about EasyBCD, so downloaded Version 2.0.2 and installed it under Windows 7. It worked great in Windows 7--let me easily change the default OS.
The EasyBCD 2.0.2 also seemed to install okay under Windows XP, but when I tried to run it under XP, it gave me an error message that it failed to initialize properly. I checked the EasyBCD documentation file, and it told me that EasyBCD was compatible with Windows XP. Uninstalled/reinstalled EasyBCD--same result.
Can you verify that EasyBCD works in Windows XP SP3, and, if so, what do I need to do to correct my problem?
