Hey guys, i just installed new things and have ran across a few problems.
Well i had XP installed (2 of them, one was a new install, and one was an old one), and then i installed Vista on top of the old one (it reformatted that partition, which was fine), problem is, now i cannot access XP install (i have Vista and XP installed now, as opposed to 2 XP's)
So anyway, i tried the XP repair utility, with no luck at all (didnt know what exactly to enter in some of the fields. So i used EasyBCD, i added XP as an entry. But problem is, whenever i click on the XP entry, it tells me that the NPTDL file cannot be found. I then attempted to edit the bios.ini, but it wont let me edit it.
This is how my boot.ini looks
[boot loader]
timeout=20
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="D" XP
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS=""
Could someone please help me out? I am out of all ideas on as to how to boot XP (Vista boot fine)
