I recently backed up my system and vista threw my core files into a folder named "backup" with subfolder "09-11-30 0925am," and deleted them from the "C" directory space.
The "C" directory space now holds the folders:
"BACKUP"
"pics and music"
"System Volume Information"
"Temp"
"users"

The dated folder (09-11-30 0925am), under the Backup folder, holds the folders:
"8c2fd0a6c7457cc1eefaa0c2cf"
"BigFishGamesCache"
"divx"
"Documents"
"Google"
"Intel"
"perflogs"
"Program Files"
"Users"
"windows"

What did I do wrong and how do I fix it? I am trying to use "Repair" feature on the Vista Recovery disk and when I get to the screen that says "Sytem Recovery Options", There is nothing listed. :rage:

What did you use to backup the system? Windows Backup?
Startup Repairs not going to rebuild all those directories files and all. If it is Windows Backup I suggest using something else in the future.
