Hello, I have Vista Ultimate in drive C and Vista Lite in drive D... I want to have only Vista Lite... With EasyBCD 1.71, I read this mysterious configuration :
Code:

I dont know if VIsta Lite is supported. It is a hacked version of Vista that has removed some components. Some of which could be vital. Since we dont know the source of the "Lite" version we dont know what they have removed and if it is important.

I would wait for Guru as he might have some input. But to me it sounds like the Lite messed up the boot.

I think EasyBCD should support Vista Lite without any problems (or, more correctly, Vista Lite supports EasyBCD without any problems).

But it does look like it messed up your BCD data. What drive is the BOOT folder on, C:\ or D:\?

thanks for help

I have a boot file in C (windows) with 15, 0 Mo and an other boot file with 15,0 in D (windows)
VistaLite is OK : I boot with that, but I hope to kill the second Vista who is eating 30 gigas on my drive C... and happy new year to you...

re re

HI, it's the size (in this file there are FONTS, PCAT, PXE from windows)...
Thanks again for help... I'm always afraid to format C and install a Linux OS...

OK, boot into Vista Lite.

Try to delete C:\Boot\BCD\
If you can, it's safe to format drive C:\

Thanks again but I cannot because always the same message : you have not the right...administrator only and I am not logged as administrator in C because boot on D...for Vlite...

OK, that answers your original question: you cannot format drive C:, because that is the drive being used by Vista lite to boot.

So unless you're comfortable getting under the hood and re-configuring Vista Lite to use a different boot drive, I suggest leaving the C: partition as it is.
