vista win7 falure boot.ini wont boot vista from os menu

hey guys

ive messed up and need some guidence

i had vista and have upgraded to win7 and got the windows.old.000 folder for vista but i got no os choice menu

so i added vista with easybcd but i dont have a clue how to tell it to set the vista working dir as windows.old.000

i have

There are a total of 2 entries listed in the Vista Bootloader.
Bootloader Timeout: 30 seconds.
Default OS: Windows 7
Entry #1
Name: Windows 7
BCD ID: {default}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Windows Directory: \Windows
Entry #2
Name: Windows vista
BCD ID: {current}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Windows Directory: \Windows


but think i need

You can't dual-boot an upgrade.
As Saltgrass said, that .old folder is there to let you uninstall the upgrade and go back to Vista. It will disappear after a while.
If you wanted to dual-boot, you'd need to do a clean install of W7 to a new partition. That option is only available with a MS DVD, not with a PC that was sold with a Vista/upgrade to W7 later licence.
