VISTA & XP Trouble after VISTA Re-Ghost

Hello,

Confusing one this so please stick with it!

1. Partitioned a brand new drive with:
C: Vista
E: XP
2. I took a ghost image of vista soon after install.
3. Installed EasyBCD to setup the dual boot for both drives.
4. Recently had a virus so restored my ghost image to C: (Vista)
5. Booted up Vista and reinstalled EasyBCD to set up the dual boot.

- unfortunately when I tried to add the XP entry it would not allow me to change the drive to E. I then got an error explaining that i did not have NTLDR and NTDETECT.
- i downloaded these to my E: drive but this did not seem to help either. I then copied these 2 files to my C: drive just in case i misunderstood the message.
- I tried a reboot and got the boot menu, however when selecting XP it gave me a black screen.
- My Entry 2 looks like this:
Entry #2
Name: Microsoft Windows XP
BCD ID: {8d1269be-2d6e-11dd-9cec-0015c5787530}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \NTLDR
I'm sure it was much easier the first time i did this! What could i be doing wrong? I have read a few posts and papers on this site but the suggestions have so far not helped.

I hope someone can help. Many Thanks!

Addendum:

I do ot seem to have a BOOT.INI anywhere. Could this have something to do with it?
If so...Where should it be? What should it say? Where can i get it from?

It was BOOT.INI !

I found the document on how to create a BOOT.INI and put that on my C: Drive. It now is working!

Thanks for replying.
