Weird XP Glitch - S/Cut to MS Updates Opens 'Bing' Search

I only went into XP to check if any updates were necessary and I can't even get to updates...anyone know if it's down?

I wouldn't care but my default search engine is Google anyway!

I'm booting back to Vista shortly but as updates work differently there I guess I shall never know why this is happening.

Addendum: Must have been a temporary outage as it's working now....!!??

Actually Bing is a big improvement over their previous offerings.
