What to do after cloning

Hi All - I hope you can help.

I'm running Win7 64bit - my current boot drive is a caviar blue 320gb.

I have just finished a clone of this drive to a 1tb caviar black and now want to remove the old 320gb drive.

When I remove it and turn the pc on it says disk read error?

I think I know what the problem is but have no idea how to fix it.

If I go into disk management my old drive reads:

Healthy (system, boot, page file, active, crash dump, primary partition)

The new drive, which now has the exact same content reads

Healthy (primary partition)

Can someone please tell me if and how I can use EasyBCD to make the new drive my boot drive.

Many thanks

Hi Daren, welcome to NST.
disconnect the old drive
boot from your W7 DVD, select "repair your PC", then "startup repair"
Do the above line 3 times
W7 should now boot unaided.
Reconnect the old drive (leave the new one 1st in the BIOS boot sequence)
Do what you like with it.

THe MS repair routine is not too clever. It only fixes one thing per pass. You need several aspects of the boot to be rebuilt on your cloned copy.
