I am seeing IMAP error 0x800CCC0E in Outlook while the account is trying to synchronize emails. Outlook sometimes fails to connect to the mail server, and the mailbox does not update correctly. I have checked my internet connection and restarted Outlook, but the synchronization problem continues. I am reviewing the incoming IMAP server address, port number, encryption type, username, and password because incorrect settings could prevent Outlook from connecting. I am also checking the SMTP configuration because some providers require authentication for outgoing messages. Another possibility is that antivirus or firewall software is blocking Outlook's connection. Since webmail appears to work correctly, I am also considering whether the issue is specific to Outlook's local configuration or data file. Before recreating the Outlook profile, I want to check the local mailbox data for possible corruption. Aryson OST Recovery Tool can be used when an OST file is damaged and Outlook mailbox information becomes inaccessible or fails to synchronize correctly. After checking the local data, I would compare Outlook's account settings with the configuration recommended by the email provider. Testing the account through webmail also helps determine whether the server itself is functioning normally. If the server works but Outlook does not, the local application or data file is more likely to be responsible. I am looking for a reliable approach that restores IMAP synchronization without removing the existing account or affecting the current mailbox folders and email data.
