I have a dual boot system with Windows 7 64 bit and Windows XP 32 bit. Each Operating System is on a separate hard drive. I turned off the PC while it was booting up and seems to have corrupted the Master Boot Record-Registry File.
The error message tells me to run the set up disc, which I have tried to do but for some reason the computer will not read either recovery disk. Therefore I cannot access the recovery console to repair the the Master Boot Record-Registry File.
Should it be a simple matter of accessing another PC to create a Recovery Console disc to repair the Master Boot File. If not, how can I resolve this issue?
ps
so im on a mates pc now and have installed BCD which apparently can resolve this. would i be right in sayin i can create a bootloader dvd which will then run on my pc back home and fix the master boot record?
also,
i notice there arent any win 7 options, will the vista option do the same thing?
