B bobuche New Member May 11, 2011 #1 My question is: How can I disable DEP in Windows XP. EasyBCD has the option greyed out in edit portion where either win 7 or windows pro xp sp3 can be chosen. I see the option is avaialble for win 7 but not for xp sp3. Thanks.

In XP it's a boot.ini option You can use EasyBCD > Tools > Edit legacy entries to locate your EasyBCD then you'll need to edit it as described here A detailed description of the Data Execution Prevention feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, and Windows Server 2003
