I have Windows 7 installed on the first partition
and Open SUSE 13.1 as shown. I am baffled.
I cannot seem to get the menu to show on reboot.
even though I have the entries and C:\NST\nst_linux.mbr
I am using EasyBCD 2.3 and disk layout below.

Partition Status Type Volume Label Mbytes System Usage
1 A PRIMARY 100006.2 NTFS/HPFS
2 PRIMARY 2000.3 LINUX
3 PRIMARY 8001.1 LINUX SWAP
4 EXTENDED 366929.9
5 LOGICAL 100006.2 LINUX
6 LOGICAL DATA 90004.8 FAT32
7 LOGICAL 176918.9 NTFS/HPFS

You haven't said what you do get when you select that entry..

I would add a Grub2 entry in EasyBCD and not a partition chain loader entry

maybe you could touch on my main problem.
When I reboot, it goes straight to Windows-7
with no EasyBCD start menu at all !
I get nothing :frowning:

That's what I was trying to do - by studying expected vs actual results.

Is UEFI in play here at all?
