Windows 7 booting and running off 2 separate drives

Recently I installed a fresh install of windows 7 onto the drive which I used to have as the D drive, making the old C drive the new D drive.

I installed easyBCD to have a look at what was going on because at every startup it had been detecting 2 installations of windows. After naively 'deleting' the second installation of windows it detects from appearing during startup I now see this in the BCD window and I'm unable to change any security properties or format the D drive (which was my original intention).

There is one entry in the Windows bootloader.

Default: Windows 7 on C
Timeout: 30 seconds
Boot Drive: D:\

Entry #1
Name: Windows 7 on C
BCD ID: {default}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

I'd like to get it all running off the C drive so I can finally do a format on the D drive. Any help would be great since obviously, I'm not genius.

EasyBCD 2.0
BCD Backup/Repair
Change boot drive
Point it to C when asked.
This will copy all the boot files from your old partition to the new one and set it "active".
Change the BIOS boot sequence if the partitions are on different HDDs
reboot
Disk management should now show your new W7 as "active" "system" "boot", and you can format the old one.
