Hello Terry this is what I have(Choose an operating system to start, or press TAB to select a tool) so it looks like I am booting from the SSD. I'll have a look at the two options tomorrow, midnight here now. Thank you for all you help.
Those options would only be necessary if XP had taken over the boot.
You are seeing the W8 boot manager menu, so all you need to do is EasyBCD > Advanced Settings > Select the W8 entry > Basic Tab > change "Drive " to F > Save Settings
