It seems as though EasyBCD cannot preserve the Windows 8 graphical boot menu. I installed linux AFTER Windows 8. Then, because BCD says that Linux installs bootloader with Windows, I cleared the bootloader to show only Windows. So I started from scratch with Windows 8 as only boot option. Then I used EasyBCD to edit the bootmenu, added Linux, wrote the MBR in deployment. And... nothing, just the old text boot menu of black and white. What exactly should be done to handle this? Other people have installed Linux and they posted a screenshot of Windows 8 graphical bootmenu with Windows 8 and their Linux version. What am I missing? Thanks for helping.
