I have a Compaq Presario with Windows Vista. I was getting a blue screen when I was trying to do a system restore (F8). I had purchased Recovery Disk which conists of 3 disk when I purchased the PC from Best Buy. I inserted Disk 1 went to start menu/control panel/back up-restore/chose *back up files* then continue then chose DVD/DRIVE then next I followed prompts for scheduling then chose *save settings*then *Restore*. It is taking forever, for instance I was on disk 4 or 5 within the first 2 1/2 to 3 hrs of the procedure. I'm on disk # 9, I am using (CD-R) Audio 80 Min. Am I doing something wrong?

Using CD's to try and backup Windows is a mistake. They are only 700MB in size and depending on how much you have stored on the PC you will use hundreds of Disks. It takes just 2 CD's to reach 1.4GB worth of data. If you have 70GB of data, that means you need 100Cd's just to accomplish that task.

You should use DVD+/-R to complete this task.
