WinXP/Win7 boot problem

Hi I have been using easyBCD for quite some time now, but only recently i have come into the problem where i cannot properly use my WINXP partition with out having to repair my BOOT sector. here is the error that i am getting

File: /BOOT/BCD
Status:0xc000000f
Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.

is there a work around for this in easyBCD 1.7.2 or will it be easier to download beta 2.0?
 
Hello bob, welcome to NST

Use startup repair to get Vista booting again if its not working. Than download EasyBCD 2.0 Beta and add a new "XP" and not "Vista/Longhorn" entry. Don't worry about not being able to pick the location cause EasyBCD detects it automatically. When it asks to autconfigure boot.ini/copy or create the boot files to the right place, select yes.
