Adding win7 pro dual boot to win 8.1

Would like to confirm that adding win7 pro to current win 8.1 laptop will be compatible.
tried using the free version with no success ( I think the issue is with me and not the software). if I purchase the paid version will there be more detailed instructions available.

EasyBCD Basics
should be all you need.
Installing W7 to a W8 PC should dual-boot automatically.
Microsoft does it for you. EasyBCD not even needed.
What problems did you have ?
How did you "add" W7 ?
