HI, When you say "can't stop it" do you mean task manager doesn't let you - if so download Process Explorer from SysInternals: http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessExplorer.zip it's much better than TM and it has an option "replacewindows Task Manager" so it then comes up via Ctrl Alt Del.

But if you mean it just won't die - I found that if I kill IswSvc ans immediately start easy BCD before the servive can restart then I can get EasyBCD up.

Task manager tells me operation could not be completed. Access denied. I am logged in as Admin. I will dowload PE and give it a try. Thanks.

-> Copy the two files in the EasyBCD installation path, than you can run EasyBCD with the EasyBCD.bat.
