Hey guys,

There's a new article in the wiki that I think warrants a post here, as it address many fundamental questions that we've been asked to compile a resource about over the years.

Part 1 is because a followup article dedicated to EFI/UEFI machines and GPT disks is on its way, due to arrive soon (TM), as well as another article focusing on the similarities and differences between the two.

Thanks for sharing this! It’s great to finally have a comprehensive resource covering the BIOS/MBR boot process, especially since it addresses so many common questions. Looking forward to the upcoming EFI/UEFI and GPT follow-up articles as well—sounds like a very useful series.
