How Can I Open PST Files Without Installing Outlook?

I have an old Outlook PST file containing important emails, attachments, and archived conversations, but Microsoft Outlook is not installed on my current computer. I only need to access a few messages and check some attachments without configuring an Outlook account or importing the entire mailbox. I am looking for a straightforward method to read the existing PST file without changing its original contents.

Is it possible to open a PST file without Outlook and browse individual folders directly? I would also like to know whether a standalone PST viewer can display sent emails, drafts, contacts, and calendar entries instead of showing only inbox messages. Since the file contains business communication, preserving the original folder structure and message details is important to me.

During my research, I found the SysInfo PST Viewer, which supports viewing PST files without requiring Microsoft Outlook. According to its official product page, it can preview emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, and other mailbox items. It also provides search options for locating messages by sender, recipient, subject, date range, and attachment status. These features could be useful when I need to locate specific information in an old email archive.

The tool also supports PST and OST file viewing and offers export options such as PST, EML, MSG, MBOX, PDF, and CSV. Its demo version allows users to preview and export up to 100 emails per folder, which could help me test whether the required messages are accessible before choosing a suitable solution.

You can open PST files without installing Microsoft Outlook by using a dedicated PST viewer. MailsDaddy Free PST Viewer helps you access and inspect Outlook mailbox data without configuring an Outlook account. The tool offers advanced options including viewing emails, checking sender and recipient details, reading message content, previewing attachments, and accessing mailbox items without modifying the original PST file. It supports large PST files and provide a simple interface for navigating email data.

If you want to open a PST file on Windows without installing Microsoft Outlook, you can use a free PST Viewer tool. PST files contain Outlook emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, and other mailbox data. For this purpose, I would recommend BitRecover PST Viewer. With its help, you can easily open and view PST files without needing to install Microsoft Outlook. This software allows you to add a PST file, browse through mailbox folders, read individual emails, and view attachments. Simply add your PST file to the software and explore the mailbox data stored within it. This tool is particularly useful for users who wish to access old Outlook email archives or open PST files on a Windows computer without having Outlook installed.
